Instead of Me: Taken
It’s Passion Week, and I am shelving normal blog content so we can reflect together on the moments that changed history. At our church we’ve been in a series called “Instead of Me.” The bumper videos prior to each sermon take one scene from Passion Week and force us to put ourselves in the place of the characters of the gospel accounts. Only we’re not standing in the place of the true hero, Jesus, but the ones who needed a hero…like Judas, Pilate, and Peter.
But because of the great love of God, Jesus is standing in our place. He’s the one that was taken…instead of us.
Instead of you.
