Danny Recommends: Tally Counter
Every so often we dip our toes into a series called Danny Recommends:, posts that tip you off to the stuff that I…you know. These might be products for use in your ministry, resources that will help you develop leaders around you, or just fun stuff that you need. Want. Whatever. For other posts in the series, check out the link at the bottom.
Sooner or later, leaders need to count stuff.
Heads. Hands raised. Rears in seats. Seats with no rears. Cars in spaces. Spaces without cars. Goldfish Crackers.
You name it, we’ll figure out a way to track it, measure it, and make a spreadsheet of it.
But counting in the moment is problematic, because of interruptions, inattention, and the inability to move to double digits without taking off a shoe.
That’s why I love Tally Counter by Pixel Research Labs. I’ve used this handy little (free!) app for years.
Tally Counter has big chonky buttons so you can count heads or seats or cars to your heart’s content. Counted one too many? That’s okay…take ’em off with the “minus” button. Want to hear the oh-so-satisfying click to give you assurance the head was counted? Tally Counter will do that.
There are other nifty little features according to the App Store screenshots (above), and there’s a Pro version that’ll set you back a couple of bucks. But for my money, the free version works just fine.
And that’s a count of zero.
