Small Church Series: Get FREE Training for Your Church!
For the last year, we’ve been working our way through a monthly series focused on guest services in the smaller church: those with 150 or fewer people in attendance each week. That series will continue in the future, albeit on a more irregular basis.
But as we wrap up the first year of the series, I want to cap it off with a special giveaway:
You can win a completely free, in-person training for your smaller church in 2024.
I want to serve the smaller church community in whatever way I can. If that’s your church, let’s talk about an in-person training experience for your congregation or volunteer team.
“Completely free” means completely free. No strings attached. No honorarium. No travel expenses. No love offering.
(But just because there aren’t strings doesn’t mean there aren’t guidelines, because we’re not anarchists. Here they are:)
- “Training” can be a sermon, a volunteer training, a staff round table…however I can best serve you for the day. (We’ll define “day” as a 24 hour period, including travel to and from your location.)
- Content needs to remain in my wheelhouse (guest services, volunteer culture, etc.)…this is probably not the time for me to develop a keynote on ChatGPT’s impact on Appalachian folk music.
- You must fill out a brief application by December 31, 2023 in order to be considered. This will give me an idea of your intent for the time together.
- Your church must have 250 or less in average weekend attendance. (I’m bumping the “small church” definition just a bit in order to accommodate more congregations.)
- Your church must be in the lower 48 states.
- The training must take place sometime in 2024, at an agreed-upon time between the speaker and the host. (Flexibility on your date is important!)
You can apply here by December 31, 2023 to be considered for the giveaway. In early January, I’ll submit all applications to a team of reviewers, who will help me make the final decision. The winning church will be contacted by January 22, 2024.
