Give Me Your Favorite Book of the Past Year.
Summer book lists are upon us.
Every year I try to be highly intentional on what I’m reading during the stretch from Memorial Day to Labor Day (and I usually toss in suggestions for you, as well).
Both of those lists are coming out at the end of May, but I need your help on the first one: what’s on your list that ought to be on mine?
What has been your favorite book of the past year?
Comment below, or send me an email, or leave your thoughts over on the socials: Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
So many books, so little time…! You know me, too many to list, but here’s a good representation of some of my favorites: How to Know a Person, David Brooks; Practicing the Way, John Mark Comer; A Flag Worth Dying For: The Power and Politics of National Symbols; Slow Productivity, Cal Newport; Translating Jesus: How to Share Your Faith in Language Today’s Culture Can Understand, Shauna Pilgreen; and of course, a Disney book, The Disney Book of Maps: A Guide to the Magical Worlds of Disney and Pixar, Walt Disney Company.
Sheesh. I think you just filled up my roster. 🙂
Already on your list but “Unlocking Your Church’s Invite Culture: Strategies for Church Growth That Work Today” by Rich Birch is a game changer. If you aren’t moving in this direction in your church…start today
Such a great book, Paul!
Top Ten Mistakes Leaders Make: Hanz Finzel
I’ll have to check that out!
Radical Candour
There’s a bad word in the subtitle. You’re grounded.
Unreasonable Hospitality: The Remarkable Power of Giving People More Than They Expect by Will Guidara. Just WOW! Great look at the guest experience and helped us rethink how we do hospitality! And now that I think about it, I may have seen this from your past book list.
SUCH a great book, Beth!
