New Weekender Date for 2020
Does anyone remember calendars? Those things we used to use to keep track of appointments, outings, and time.
Speaking of, does anyone remember time?!?
COVID-19 threw a proverbial wrench in the works for our 2020 Guest Services Weekenders. We’ve canceled, rescheduled, expanded, and added to serve you better.
Our remaining dates for 2020 (RSVP now):
–October 24
–November 14
Plus, we’ve added registration space and moved to a larger venue so we can be together while staying apart, because y’know…social distancing.
Obviously these dates could change depending on multiple factors such as murder hornets.
Not familiar with our Guest Services Weekenders? Here’s why they’re a great choice for you and your team:
- Targeted and practical. At a Weekender, you’ll sit in on our Guest Services training and see how we equip our volunteers at the Summit. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at our teams in action. And you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and get helpful answers.
- Designed for teams. If you’re on staff, bring a couple of volunteers. If you’re a volunteer, kidnap a staff member and toss ’em in the trunk. The process will be more beneficial if you have more eyes on it. And the discussions on the way home are much more fruitful (speak loudly so your staffer in the trunk can hear you).
- Scheduled around your Sunday. Weekenders are held on Saturday afternoons from 3:30-6:30 so you can get back to your Sunday morning responsibilities. However, we strongly recommend that you stick around for a Sunday morning at the Summit. We tour additional campuses and sit in on a worship service.
- Affordable. Did we mention that all Guest Services Weekenders are absolutely free? You’ll take back copies of our curriculum and samples of our first-time guest process. And if you plan to spend the night, we’ll even help out with a discounted room at a local DoubleTree.
