Thursday Three For All

It’s Thursday, kiddies: the day when I roll out a few things I’ve been reading over the past week. Three of ‘em, to be exact. Enjoy. (Remember: click on the bold print to read the entire article.)

If Walt Disney Drove Your Bus. (via @ChipRBell, HT @Enthused) What would your church’s guest service look like if it were seen through the lens of another organization?

It would be inclusive…like the way Southwest Airlines involves passengers. On a flight to Phoenix, a flight attendant sought the assistance from two adoring passengers to help pass out peanuts to fellow passengers. The most important part of the occurrence was not the obvious fun the two guys in Bermuda shorts and ball caps had. It was the noticeable positive effect the incident had on everyone on board. Even super serious passengers could not help but grin as they received the all-too-familiar snack from the flight attendant-wannabes!

The Yankee Candle Company Releases Girl Scout Cookie-Scented Candles and Air Fresheners. (via @LaughingSquid) This is the first sign of the apocalypse. Also, I want one.

The Yankee Candle Company has released a limited edition line of scented candles and air fresheners that smell like Girl Scout cookies. The company is offering four different scents inspired by the cookie varieties Coconut Caramel Stripes, Thin Mints, Trefoils, and Chocolate Peanut Butter.

Summit Network. (via @SummitNetwork) I’ve had the supreme privilege of working with many of these guys, and this is reason 7,521 I love my church.
