Introducing My Church Staff
Over the years our team has been privileged to host hundreds of leaders from churches across the country. Whether it’s our Guest Services Weekenders, our One-Day Workshops, or our upcoming Connections Confab, those gatherings are an invaluable time of growth for the guests we host, for our team here, and for all of our congregations.
However, I recognize that not everyone has the budget for traveling to North Carolina. Not every leader of guest services is in full-time ministry, and taking a day off during the week from their “real jobs” isn’t feasible.
Through the years, I’ve received one question on repeat: when will you take this virtual? And today, I’m thrilled to give you that answer.
I’m excited to introduce a new partnership with Dr. Thom Rainer and the Church Answers team called My Church Staff. They have built an incredible platform that allows churches of any size to add a virtual coach with no travel and little cost.
Beginning in January, I’ll be leading the Guest Services Channel on My Church Staff. The Guest Services Channel is a subscription-based model that allows any leader to receive specific training and targeted troubleshooting in the area of guest services, leader development (for you and others), and volunteer culture.
What do I get?
Subscribers to the Guest Services Channel will receive:
- A series of introductory “Boot Camp” videos: six videos (over an hour of content) that set up the channel, the topic, and our approach.
- A monthly coaching video with 15-20 minutes on a specific topic related to Guest Services.
- A monthly downloadable resource to be used as an immediate application guide for what you’re learning and implementing.
- A monthly “office hours” Zoom call to ask any question and get real-time answers.
- 24/7 access to Church Answers Central, a discussion forum with peers in your role from around the globe.
Who’s it for?
My Church Staff is designed for churches in any stage of their Guest Services journey:
- Churches with no staff leadership who want to develop a person who will develop the ministry
- Churches with anemic or exhausted leadership who want to gain a new vision for hospitality
- Churches with active staff or volunteer leadership who want to sharpen their focus and develop new skills
What’s the cost?
As a subscription model, the cost is low and the commitment is minimal. My Church Staff costs $100 per month or $1,000 per year. There’s no contract, and you can cancel at any time. That’s a small cost for dedicated training and coaching for your church staff team.
By the way, My Church Staff also offers channels for Stewardship ministry (that started in November) and Worship ministry (that rolls out this month). Other channels will be added in the months to come.

There are two primary questions that someone out there might have, so let me answer them.
Does this mean you’re leaving the Summit? Not at all. This is a complete side project that I’m working on. I’ll still lead in my normal role in a job I love alongside people I love.
Does this mean that the in-person options are going away? Not a chance. Our team is still committed to hosting leaders for our live events on site. You should come.
